Each day since the surgery the soreness has decreased. The wound is healing, but still sore. Today I haven't had to take any pain killers. I still have to be very careful about getting up and lying down. And, I can only eat small portions each meal or I get painful indigestion.
This morning as we entered the consultation room, the doctors said, "Good News." He then explained that the tumor that he removed from the tail of my pancreas was a type called IPMT. The lab report states that it was "borderline" cancerous. Meaning, if we would have left it longer it would become cancerous. The lab reports also show that it had not spread to any other parts of the body!
The doctor said there is no need to do chemotherapy. However, I will need to do follow-up P.E.T. scans in the near future to make sure the "atypical" cells at the head of my pancreas do not become cancerous, and to make sure the IPMT tumor does not return. If it does return in the future, I must have my entire pancreas removed. But, let's all pray that day never comes.
After seeing the doctor, the nurse took out the 22 staples and I was free to go. I just had to celebrate and shout, "Victory!" under the National Cancer Centre sign.
So, praise God with me for His mercy upon me! Thousands around the world have been pleading my case before our Father's throne. He is extending my life. If He chooses to grant me another 30 years, then I want to be faithful in service to Him.

P.S. I will continue recovering here in Singapore until I fly back to Chiang Mai, Thailand, on Oct. 15, 2008. I want to be back by Oct. 16 so I can celebrate Erika's 15th birthday "Mexican style" - Pinata, Mexican pile-up, etc.
